Sustainability Day & the new Minister

1 Comment 07 Juni 2012

Did you know that June 4 was national action day for sustainability in Germany? So where would be the best place to celebrate this day?

I spent it at the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety where the new Federal Minister for the Environment gave one his first major speeches. Peter Altmaier has just been in office for about two weeks now. With the transformation of the German energy system he has a momentous task ahead of him.

On the occasion of sustainability day, the German Advisory Council on the Environment also celebrated its 40th anniversary and handed over its report “Responsibility in a finite world” to the Minister.

Check out my video to find out what happened inside the ministry and what interesting tips Minister Altmaier gave me to get involved! I’ll try my best to realize them, however, I guess my high-school won’t be too happy if I decide to return…;)

  1. Alexander Fehr sagt:

Sorry for the German post next comment will be in English again. Had not that much time for this post.

    Good Luck Sarasumie.

    Alex
